Prepper (30 months - 36 months)
As a Prepper, your child is transitioning from a toddler to a preschool student. Chatting with friends increases verbal and social skills. Solving shape puzzles strengthens problem-solving skills, while drawing and painting nurture creativity. Prepper teachers work to foster self-esteem during one-on-one journal time and in group activities. Hi, I’m Mrs. Geisa Monteiro. I’ve been a teacher at Tutor Time since September 2008. I was born and married in Bahia, Brazil and moved to the USA in 1999. Prior to moving to Dallas 4 years ago, I lived in Boston for 8 years. I am the mother of a 3 year old son, Adrian. While still living in Brazil I went to a well-known University where I completed 2 years of coursework towards a degree in nursing. I worked as a nanny for a few years before my son was old enough to attend pre-school. I really enjoy working with Twaddlers. For me, it is a satisfaction to see how they are developing their independence and how they are learning to recognize numbers, shapes, letters and colors. They are so smart! Working at Tutor Time and seeing the children smile everyday is what matters most to me!
